What Cocktails Can I Make?
Cocktails are one of the most timeless and fashionable ways of socialising with your friends, family or colleagues, offering a classy but fun opportunity to enjoy yourself during your evenings and weekends. Sadly, the hectic world in which we currently live in dictates that it is often very difficult to get the opportunity to visit fancy cocktail bars or take part in cocktail making classes, or you might simply just want to sample the cocktail experience from the comfort of your own home. Whatever your motive, cocktails are in fact very simple to make and enjoy if you have the right ingredients, and here we have selected a handful of delicious cocktails for you to try out in your kitchen at home, all of which feature on our brand-new menu for 2018, with a brief step by step guide showing how it’s done. All you will need are the ingredients listed below and a cocktail shaker, have fun!
List of cocktails I can make from home
What you need: ice, vodka, espresso coffee, coffee liqueur, sugar syrup. Pour a tablespoon of sugar syrup into a cocktail shaker with a handful of ice, then add the coffee liqueur, the vodka and the espresso. Shake until the drink is chilled and strain into a separate glass, and you can also add coffee beans as an optional extra.
What you need: Tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, ice cubes, lime wedge. Pour 35ml of both tequila and lime juice into a cocktail shaker, as well as 20ml of Cointreau. Then add a handful of ice cubes and shake well for around 10 seconds, then strain into a Martini glass and add the lime wedge to garnish.
What you need: lime juice, sugar, mint leaves, white rum, soda. One of the most popular and well-known cocktails out there, the Mojito is refreshing and a great drink to enjoy with your friends or along with a meal. All you need to do is mix a touch of lime juice with around a teaspoon of superfine sugar, then add 3 mint leaves and slush them against the side of the glass. Add some ice cubes to the glass and then fill the remainder of the glass with white rum, then add the finishing touches by adding soda.
What you need: Passionfruit vodka, Absolut Vanilia, passion fruit purée, orange juice, caster sugar, passion fruit, prosecco. To make this, simply fill the glass with crushed ice and place it to the side for the time being. Then add the passion fruit puree and orange juice to a separate glass, followed by the passionfruit vodka and Absolut Vanilia. Then fill a Boston glass with the crushed ice and some caster sugar and attach it to the other glass and shake, enjoy!
What you need: Vodka, cranberry juice, lime, lime juice, orange-flavoured liqueur. A very simple cocktail to put together, simply add ice to a cocktail shaker until it is half full, and then add two shots of vodka followed by one shot of cranberry juice. You could also add grapefruit juice as an alternative to cranberry juice if this is your preference. This is then followed by a touch of orange-flavoured liqueur, triple sec for example, and the same amount of lime juice. Once you have done all of this, add a slice of lime to garnish the drink, then cover the glass with your cocktail shaker and shake well for around 10 seconds, and you have a cosmopolitan!
